Bret Michaels almost treated the audience at Sunday’s Tony Awards to a live beheading when his stage exit went disastrously wrong.
The rocker-turned-reality TV bachelor performed with his band Poison as part of the ceremony’s opening number, which incorporated sets from musicals currently showing on Broadway.
But Bret’s exit didn’t go as smoothy as it could have.
As he walked towards the back of the stage, a huge piece of the set descended from the ceiling onto his head, nearly sending him crashing to the floor. Rock ‘n’ roll!Initial reports indicated the Rock Of Love star was left nursing a broken nose but a spokesperson for the TV broadcast played down the incident, insisting he simply “missed his mark”.
